I'll try and email them. Is the info on this site useable still? Shocked that after a week my post is still here...
    • Eddie : Members can give your feedback to the high comms so that they know your needs and organize some game development gatherings
    • hITO : yusof and wyrus please do contact the person incharge of the Game Development Director and if you know what we were doing then you would know that there would be a photoshop workshop that is going to happen so if you are THAT so interested in that area then go to that workshop and learn

    [GDC] NON-ELECTRONIC GAMES EXHIBITION 2009 photos !!!

    Dear Students, It’s been a long time since the blog updated !!! So here comes the exciting NEG exhibition which happen on 2nd November 2009(Monday) till 5th November 2009(Thursday) at FIT glass room .

    Our NEGE banner (NEGE is a code name for non electronic games exhibition)

    Our information counter which full of gifts.

    Our fellow GDC members are teach and having fun with the visitors

    When reach lunch time, here comes the crowd who comes and take on the challenge we set up.

    What challenge you ask ?? It’s the Blokus and Rubik’s Cube Challenge which challenge other people with your amazing solving speed.

    The recently famous and hot-selling Japanese anime character based trading card game, Weiss Schwarz.

    Lastly, a new business board game which also attracts people attention. It’s called “next level”. It’s fun to play and at the same time you will learn how to handle your business.

    We, GDC proudly present to you, THE NON-ELECTRONIC GAMES EXHIBITION.

    The MMU Cyberjaya Non-Electornic Games Division of GDC(Games Developers’ Club) is going to have an event called "Non-Electronic Games Exhibition"

    Date: 2nd November 2009(Monday) till 5th November 2009(Thursday)
    Duration : 10.00am ~ 5.00pm
    Venue: FIT Glass Room

    We are having demonstrations and workshops for Board games, Card games. Rubik’s cube, and Cup stacking.
    During the event, we will teach, guide and expose to the visitors regarding all the rules and regulations for all Non-Electronic Games listed below:-

    Card games:-
    1.Weiss Schwarz (Japanese anime character based trading card game)
    2.Citadels
    3.Bang!
    4.saboteur

    Board games:-
    1.Railroad Tycoon
    2.Power Grid
    3.Kill Dr.Lucky
    4.Carcassave
    5.Ticket to Ride-Europe
    6.Volcano-Pompeii
    7.Wits & Wages
    8.Blockus

    Others:-
    1.Rubik cubes and Twisty Puzzles
    2.Cup stacking

    There are competitions for:-

    1. Board games (Blokus),
    2. Card games (Citadels),
    3. Rubik’s Cube Challenge (Challenge other people with your solving’s speed).

    We will be having a promotion week regarding the event

    Time: 10am to 5pm at 
    venue: Central Plaza,booth C7

    The promotion week is to give a better idea of our exhibition.

    Come and join us to get to know more about some non-electronic games items in Malaysia.

    [GDC] Card And Board Games Gathering Report

    The long awaited GDC Card & Board Games Gathering has finally begun again with the start of the new semester, on 21th of July !

    As usual, most of the members attended to show themselves during the 1st week and this time we have some members from emina club join us too. You all are welcome to join no matter what club are you. ^^

     

    Here is the photo of the gathering just started and there have already a bunch of gamers start playing their board game.

    And yes, we say that we, GDC will introduce you all a new card game right ?? here it is…is called the Weiβ Schwarz, Japanese Trading Card Game (TCG) published by Bushiroad. This game creates a battlefield that allows you to pit various characters from various anime series against each other, crossing the boundaries of genre and age. This brand-new card game is introduce to all MMU students, all thx to Kaede86, an artist, avid card gamer and also a GDC member. ^^

    Here is the list of Weiβ Schwarz decks: (most of the players is buying Fate/Stay Night and waiting for the impossible to come out, Code Geass)

    Those people that were playing a card game(BANG!!), really crazy one, almost all the members who play laugh till the whole FIT gonna collapse, proves that they really enjoyed themselves very much. That’s what the gathering is for! ^^ Photobucket

    The laughter lasted till midnight. And that’s the end of the gathering, but we’ll have it again next week, so keep an eye on the bulletin board next Tuesday for more details!
